  • Tiny Tinkerers: 10-10:30am. For babies, preschoolers, toddlers. Interactive storytime.

  • Teens Craft: Mini Wreaths: 3:15-4pm. For teens.

  • Optical Illusion Art: 5-5:30pm. For school age children.

Danville Library Events:101 S. Indiana St, Danville. Registration Required.

  • Toddler Tales: 10-11am. Storytime fun for toddlers.

  • Full STEAM Ahead: 4-5pm. For elementary and middle school ages. Hands on discovery- simple circuits.

Indy 500 Practice: Gates open at 11am, practice is from 1-3pm. Ticketed event, $25 (children 15 and under are free with a ticketed adult). Get tickets.

Tuesday | May 19

  • Stories & Stations: 10-10:45am. For ages 0-6.

  • The Girl with a Mind for Math: a STEM Story Adventure: 6-7pm. For ages 6-10.

  • 512 Clubhouse Hangout: 5-6:30pm. Grades 5-12.

  • Chess Club: 6:30-7:30pm. For families. Learn or practice playing chess on provided boards.

Plainfield Library Events: 1120 Stafford Rd, Plainfield.

  • STEAM Station: 10-10:30am. For ages baby-preschool. Interactive storytime that introduces STEAM concepts.

  • Red Cross Blood Drive: 12-4:30pm. Adults.

  • Preschool Storytime: 10-11am. Stories & play for preschoolers.

Tadpole Time- Salamander Safari: 10-11am. W.S. Gibbs Memorial Park, Danville. Explore the park and see what you can discover, wear clothes that can get wet/muddle. $5/child.

Buds & Bids: Plant Sale & Auction: 2-8pm. Hendricks County 4-H Fairgrounds (Cartlidge Barn). Plants for sale priced starting at $5. Free to attend, refreshments provided.

Nature Discovery- Naturalist’s Crossing: 10am-12pm. McCloud Nature Park, North Salem. Animal Crossing-inspired adventure for kids with hands-on activities like fishing, bug hunting, fossil searching, and more while exploring the park in real life. $5/person.

Plainfield Farmers Market: 4-7pm. Plainfield Friends Church Lawn. Free to attend.

Movie Night in the Park: 7pm. Scamahorn Park, Pittsboro. Family friendly event, movie showing - Shark Tale. Bring blankets and chairs. Go early for glitter tattoos, food trucks, and activities. Free.

Carb Night Classic Featuring the 73rd Anniversary Hoosier Hundred: 2pm (gates open) with races and events happening all day. Lucas Oil Raceway, Indianapolis. 110th Running of the Indianapolis 500: Gates open at 6am. 11:47 am- driver introductions, 12:24pm- National Anthem, 12:29pm - “Drivers to Your Cars” command, 12:36 pm - Back Home Again in Indiana, 12:38 pm - Command to Start Your Engines, 12:45pm - Green Flag. Ticketed event, can also watch on TV (blackout lifted).
