Monday | Aug 10

  • 4s and 5s Storytime Shapes: 1-1:45pm. For ages 4-5 year olds.

  • Little Storytime: 10-11am. For toddlers ages 18 months-3 years. [FULL]

  • Preschool Storytime: 11-11:45am.

  • Creation Station: 4-4:45pm. An art program for grades 1–4 featuring crafts and hands-on projects using mediums like paint and clay.

Plainfield Library Events: 1120 Stafford Rd, Plainfield.

  • Tiny Tinkerers: 10-10:30am. For babies, preschoolers, toddlers. Interactive storytime.

  • Teens Craft: Perler Bead Animals: 3:15-4pm. Teens.

  • Directed Drawing: 4:30-5pm. For school age children. Live, step by step drawing instruction.

Danville Library Events:101 S. Indiana St, Danville. Registration Required.

  • Toddler Tales: 10-11am. Preschool ages. Storytime fun with room to wiggle and explore.

Homeschool Art Day: 1-3pm. uPaint Pottery Studio, Plainfield. Painting project where artists can decorate their own paint palettes using their choice of colors and designs. Register in advance or walk in. $18/painter.

Tuesday | Aug 11

  • 1s and 2s Storytime Art: 10-10:45am.

  • 4s and 5s Storytime Shapes: 10-10:45am.

  • 2s and 3s Storyime Shapes: 1-1:45pm.

  • Storytails with Dogs from Love on a Leash: 6:30-7:30pm. For school age children. Practice reading with a licensed therapy dog.

Avon Library Events:498 N. Avon Ave, Avon. Registration Required.

  • Unreliable Narrators: 5-6:30pm. An interactive mystery program for grades 8–12 where participants solve puzzles, make choices and work together to uncover the truth.

  • Chess Club: 6:30-7:30pm. A chess club for students in elementary through 12th grade. Boards and pieces are provided, and no registration is required.

Plainfield Library Events: 1120 Stafford Rd, Plainfield.

  • STEAM Station: 10-10:30am. For ages baby-preschool. Interactive storytime that introduces STEAM concepts.

  • Gamer Crafts: Hare & Hounds: 3:15-4pm. For teens. Make your own board and learn the classic French game Hare & Hounds.

  • Make It: Mini Felt Teddy Bear: 5-5:30pm. For school age children.

Beautiful Butterflies (Little Sprouts Nature Discovery): 10-11am. A nature-based discovery program for preschoolers ages 2–5 featuring stories and hands-on activities. An adult must accompany children. $10 per child. More info.

Avon Farmers Market: 4-7pm. Parking lot of Hendricks Regional Health, US Hwy 36 (just east of Dan Jones), Avon. All ages, family friendly. Free to attend.

Pretty Fast Run Club: 7-8pm. Arbuckle Acres Park, Brownsburg. Women’s run club- run, jog or walk. All skill levels welcome. Free.

Trivia Tuesday: 7-9pm. Central Normal Tap, Danville. Trivia starts at 7pm, grab dinner & drinks while you play. Free to play.

Simple Plan- Bigger Than You Think Tour: 7pm. Everwise Amphitheater at White River State Park. Get tickets.

Nature Discovery: Seek at the Creek: 10am-12pm. McCloud Nature Park, North Salem. Explore Big Walnut Creek while searching for minnows, crayfish, fossils, rocks and more. Nets and catching tools will be provided. Wear closed toed shoes, bring a towel and change of clothes. $5.

Wild World of Nature Series- Sky Dome Planetarium: 5-8pm. Washington Township Park Pavilion Center, Avon. All ages. A planetarium program featuring a guided tour of the Northern Hemisphere night sky, with stops at the planets and constellations. Free.

Pittsboro Farmers Market: 5:30-7:30pm. Scamahorn Park, Pittsboro. Opening night! Free to attend.

Music Bingo: 7-9pm. Pinheads Alley’s Alehouse, Brownsburg. Free to play.

Live Music on the Patio - Steve Trent: 6:30-10pm. Pittsboro Golf Course. Outdoor live music, food truck and drinks. Free to attend.

“Smammals!”: 7-8pm. McCloud Nature Park, North Salem. Learn about Indiana’s small mammals, trapping practices, and how to safely handle wildlife while exploring McCloud’s prairie and woodlands. $3.

Avon Summer Concert Series: Twenty Dollar Mule: 7-9pm. Washington Township Park Amphitheater, Avon. Family friendly outdoor concert. Free.

Glow with the Flow Night: 8-9:30pm. Williams Park, Brownsburg. An evening at the splash pad featuring water play, upbeat music, and glow accessories for kids. Free.

Night Hike: 8:30-10pm. Vandalia Trail Amo Trailhead, Amo. All ages. A guided evening hike through the park’s trails with a naturalist, looking for bats, owls, fireflies and other nighttime wildlife. $5.

Saturday | Aug 15
